Rocznik Muzeum Narodowego w Warszawie. Nowa Seria / Journal of the National Museum in Warsaw. New Series, 4(40) (2015)

We are very pleased to present the fourth issue of our Journal, which begins with a text on the recently re-opened Faras Gallery, renovated thanks to the exceptional generosity of one the Museum’s Donors, Mr Wojciech Pawłowski and his family. Further texts concern medieval, baroque, 19th- and 20th-century art. We particularly recommend articles on Guercino – one of the most important Italian painters of the 17th century, including the text by Fausto Gozzi, director of Pinacoteca Civica di Cento, on a set of drawings with very original iconography: depicting witches and wizards.

Rocznik / Journal is a bilingual academic journal issued by the National Museum in Warsaw and published in cooperation with Wydawnictwo Poznańskie publishing house. It is already available at the Serenissima bookshop (in the NMW’s main building) and on our website.
