Journal of the NMW. New Series

In 2012, director Agnieszka Morawińska established the Rocznik Muzeum Narodowego w Warszawie. Nowa Seria / Journal of the National Museum in Warsaw. New Series. Even though it alludes to the historical Journal (which, until 1992, had published 592 articles by almost 240 authors) in both title and form, its scope has been extended. The periodical is bilingual: all texts are translated in extenso into English, thanks to which the Journal has quickly become part of international academic circulation. The minimalist and functional graphic layout was designed by Prof. Janusz Górski.

 

 

 

Under its agreement with the Heidelberg University, the National Museum in Warsaw has made its old journals: Rocznik Muzeum Narodowego w Warszawie and Bulletin du Musée National de Varsovie, available online. Permanent links:
 
On the website of the University of Heidelberg we also successively publish the subsequent issues of the New Series of the Journal.
 

Via the Heidelberg University Library, Journal may be found through such search engines as Europeana, Getty Research Portal, BASE, Virtual Catalogue for Art History and naturally Google.
