GUIDED TOURS / The Golden Age of Dutch painting / Oprowadzanie w języku angielskim
24th May/ Saturday / 1pm
The 17th century is known as the Golden Age of the Netherlands - it was a time of prosperity in which the Netherlands grew from a small swamp on the edge of Europe to a world empire. How did the Dutch acquire their wealth? In search of the answer to this question, we will go to the Gallery of Old Masters, where we will look at paintings by Dutch masters and talk about 17th-century trade, fishing and... the production of paintings! In the footsteps of the great merchants, we will visit the great ports and markets of Europe, and travel to the African coast to confront the colonial past of the Netherlands.
